The sponge dust shield that fits over the splined area of the steering rack as it bolts up against the bulk head. This seal stops water and noise from entering where the steering rack pinion comes through the body on all models. Usually it is sold with the centre part cut but not pushed out, but it pops out easily and is shown on our picture as a reference only. The centre part is discarded.
