This is the gear that is fitted to either end of the diff pin. They can wear on the inside surface, as well as the outside teeth (which will make your diff pin wear out!)
For the price, its not worth the risk of reusing old ones! (2 required per diff).
These are the standard performance variety, for very hard driven cars we recommend updrading the diff to a cross pin type.
